The hotel boasts an excellent location. The rooftop terrace offers fine views while basking in the sun, perfect for relaxation.
While the retro charm is appealing, the furniture could use some modern upgrades.

The hotel provided a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate my birthday, made our stay extra special.
There was a distinct lack of amenities like a fridge and air conditioning in the room, making it uncomfortable during warmer days.

The staff, when my friend lost his wallet the assistance he got from reception in my opinion was exceptional, they phoned a supermarket where the wallet was believed to have been lost, found bank card phone number and sent my friend a complementary bottle of sparkling wine and some nibbles. They also gave us excellent advise about local attractions and were very friendly throughout our stay and there English was excellent. The star receptionist was Nadia -- so, so helpful.-- also the hotel was in a geat location.

Just next to city center and within walking distance from main touristic attractions in Funchal. Very quiet, located in low-traffic street. Balcony room with street view recommended. Nice terrase with swimming pool and pleasant view on the deck. Rooms very clean, nice and quite roomy bathroom.

Rooftop pool with fine views, quirky and unique decor, close proximity to attractions
No air conditioning for those uncomfortable days!!! Small bedrooms reducing space and comfort for families!!! The aging furniture could definitely use some attention!!! The bathrooms show clear signs of age, and it would be nice to have more frequent maintenance!!!

Very clean. The room is comfortable and quiet. The reception desk crew was very helpful. Although you can tell that this an hotel with some years, it has been refurnished. Per example, the room floor is not carpet, and at the same time it increases the hygiene of the room, gives it a modern look. I particularly enjoyed to be surprised with a wall size picture of Steve McQueen.
The breakfast was not abundant. A bit more investment would make wonders. Coffee was very good thought.

Charming, Charming, Charming
The unique 60's themed decor gives every corner of the hotel a playful vibe, with fine black and white celebrity photographs that feel like a step back in time. I soaked up the sun and amazing views from the rooftop pool, a true highlight of my stay! The generous breakfast was a feast for the senses, especially the colorful array of fresh local fruits that got my day off to a delicious start!
would recommend ❤️✨

Excellent location 5 mins from both Old Town and Funchal centre. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Incredible value for money. Nice spacious room and would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast a bit basic - but if all you want is coffee and croissants etc, as I do, then it's fine.

The family room was always super clean, and the kitchen staff provided fresh seafood and delicious coffee at breakfast. Unfortunately, I faced parking challenges nearby, and the hotel lacked designated spaces, leading to some inconvenience. While the pool area offered great views, the overall seating could be improved to accommodate more guests.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, especially the rooftop pool for sunset views. The breakfast offered a good range of fresh local fruits. I found the room a bit small for relaxation after a day of exploring Funchal.
